History

The BlaqOUT Conference was founded by Toi Thibodeaux of UC Riverside's LGBT Resource Center in 2014. UC Riverside hosted the first three BlaqOUT Conferences. In 2017, UC Davis hosted the 4th Annual BlaqOUT Conference.  The conference then went back home to UC Riverside.  In 2019, the 6th Annual BlaqOUT Conference traveled to a little campus in the forest and made its debut at UC Santa Cruz.  In 2020, the conference was set to travel again, UC Berkeley agreed to host the 7th Annual BlaqOUT Conference, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic the conference has been postponed indefinitely.

BlaqOUT Conference 2016 featured Todrick Hall, Greg Wilson, & Faith Cheltenhan.




BlaqOUT Conference 2017 was hosted at UC Davis.


BlaqOUT Conference 2018, featured Nia&Ness, Dr. Jon Paul Higgins,
Gabriel Maldonado, & Toi Thibodeaux.



BlaqOUT Conference 2019 was hosted at UC Santa Cruz.
